In the current rapid and demanding work landscape, maintaining a harmonious blend between career and personal life is a significant issue for contemporary professionals. Work-life balance (WLB) has become more closely associated with both job satisfaction (JS) and general life fulfillment. However, the nature of these relationships and their underlying mechanisms require further exploration. As organizations and employees strive for sustainable work arrangements, grasping the interaction between these frameworks is crucial for enhancing employee well-being and productivity. This review highlights the significance of promoting work-life balance to improve job satisfaction and overall life contentment among contemporary professionals. Organizations need to establish policies that encourage work-life integration, including options for remote work, flexible hours, and initiatives focused on employee well-being. Workers who achieve a better work-life balance tend to report increased job satisfaction, lower stress levels, and improved overall well-being. Those who enjoy higher job satisfaction also indicate elevated levels of life satisfaction, emotional health, and general happiness.
