This research aims to investigate factors that influence the application of environmental, social and governance (ESG) standards in the logistics industry in Vietnam. In today’s dynamically evolving global economy, ESG integration has become a crucial component of sustainable development in the logistics industry. This research utilizes qualitative and quantitative methods from surveys and interviews. The main findings show that factors such as digital transformation, government incentives, company’s vision and management practices and knowledge about ESG play important roles in promoting ESG applications. Beyond offering valuable insights into challenges and opportunities that Vietnam’s logistics industries must face in the transition to a sustainable business model, research also provides actionable recommendations and for managers and policymakers to optimize ESG implementation in this sector.
