Socioeconomic status (SES) varies among preschool children, with disparities emerging early in development. These differences impact various aspects of a child's life, including cognitive development, social-emotional well-being, and access to resources. The present study aims to find out the disparities in socio-economic variables of preschool children belonging to low- income and high-income groups. A total of 480 children aged 2-5 years of Raipur city from different socio-economic backgrounds have been taken. The families having their children studied in anganwadis (low-income) and playschools (high-income) have been taken into consideration to know the socio-economic differences. Chi-square test is used to test the variations in socio-economic variables between the two groups. The results showed that there is a significant association (p<0.05) found in terms of majority of the studied variables.
