Abstract

This study aims to determine the Role of Teachers in Inclusive Education and Learning Strategies and Curriculum Adaptation for Children with Special Needs . This study attempts to analyze the role of teachers in inclusive education: curriculum adaptation strategies and learning for students with special needs at SLB Baiturrahman Bima. The type of research used in this study is a descriptive analysis method. The results of this study indicate that the role of teachers in realizing inclusion in the context of education is very important. Teachers have the primary responsibility in creating an inclusive educational environment and supporting the development of all students. There are six roles of teachers in inclusive education, namely Inclusive Learning Facilitators, Accommodating Student Needs, Inclusion Collaborators, Responsive Pedagogical Approaches, Prevention of Bullying and Discrimination and Communication with Parents. Curriculum development in the context of inclusive education must pay attention to the characteristics of children with special needs. According to the Ministry of National Education in 2013, there are four curriculum development models that can be used for children with special needs, namely: Duplication Model, Modification Model, Substitution Model and Omission Model. Inclusive learning strategy development is the process of designing, implementing, and evaluating learning approaches that ensure the participation, engagement, and success of all students, including students with special needs or other educational needs.
