Abstract

Nari (Nri + An + Deen) is the feminine form of male. The first use of the word woman is found in the Rigveda, which means the sacrifice is taken by the wife, the word woman is made from Nr or Nar. Especially the woman in whom the qualities of shame, service, faith etc. have predominance. When God wanted to create the universe, he had to appear in the form of Brahma and Shakti, because it was only through Shakti that the creation of the universe was possible. Her power is the form of a woman. Therefore, woman is the lesser work of the creator. Women's literature society cannot even be imagined. Therefore, women have an important place in the society.

Abstract in Hindi Language: 

नारी (नृ+अञ्+डीन ) नर का स्त्री रूप है नारी शब्द का सर्वप्रथम प्रयोग ऋग्वेद में मिलता है, जिसका अर्थ यज्ञ पत्नी द्वारा लिया गया है नारी शब्द नृ अथवा नर से बना है। विशेषत: वह स्त्री जिसमें लज्जा सेवा श्रद्धा आदि गुणों की प्रधानता हो। ईश्वर ने जब सृष्टि की रचना करनी चाही तो उसे ब्रह्मा और शक्ति के रूप में प्रकट होना पड़ा क्योंकि शक्ति के द्वारा ही सृष्टि का निर्माण कार्य संभव था। उसकी यही शक्ति नारी का रूप है। अत: नारी विधाता की कमनीय कृति है। नारी साहित्य समाज की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती। अतः समाज में नारी का महत्वपूर्ण स्थान है।
