Road infrastructure is essential for economic growth, improved accessibility, and overall development. The process of road construction often causes immediate disruptions that affect people’s everyday life. In Thrissur, ongoing roadwork projects have altered travelling patterns, increased travel delays, and disrupted local businesses, while also promising long-term benefits of improved connectivity. Therefore, it is vital to study both the short-term difficulties as well as the long-term benefits of such infrastructure transitions. This study will provide insights into how travellers experience roadwork in Thrissur, focusing on transportation cost, efficiency, and accessibility.
