Abstract

Knowledge sharing has become an important topic in higher education, particularly in the context of digital transformation, where digital technologies have reshaped the way students access, exchange, and collaborate on knowledge. Although previous studies have highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing in learning environments, research on knowledge-sharing practices among university students in Vietnam remains limited in scope and context. Existing studies have mainly focused on specific regions or individual factors, making it difficult to obtain a comprehensive understanding of student knowledge sharing practices within the current digital learning environment. This study aims to examine the current situation of knowledge sharing in Vietnamese higher education and propose solutions to improve knowledge sharing practices. The findings highlight that while digital technologies facilitate knowledge sharing, technology alone cannot ensure active participation. Effective knowledge sharing requires a combination of digital infrastructure, information literacy, academic integrity, supportive leadership, and a strong culture of collaboration within educational institutions. This study contributes to the literature on knowledge management and higher education by providing insights into knowledge sharing practices in the Vietnamese context and suggesting directions for fostering more effective knowledge exchange in digital learning environments.
