गोरखनाथ का नारी के प्रति दृष्टिकोण

Abstract

Gorakhnath is an unparalleled and unique personality in Indian religious practice and literary world. His era was full of struggles, setbacks, and tragedies. Practices like yoni-worship and yoni-enjoyment were at their peak. Gorakhnath took a strong stand against such yoni-practices. He shattered the abominable sexual practices and gave birth to a new form of religion. He established the saintly tradition, upon which a whole edifice stands; the literature of saints holds all the keys to life transformation. Gorakhnath adopted a strict perspective toward women in his principles. He opposed the sexualized form of women and considered women as obstacles in the path of spiritual practice. He resisted the illusory forms of women but recognized the maternal aspect in the illusory woman. He held adult women in unwavering reverence, treating them with the same respect as a mother. He emphasized that women should be devoted to their husbands and sharply criticized corrupt women. He advised women, especially housewives, to avoid indulgence in sensual activities. Gorakhnath’s main focus was on yoga and renunciation, which required the abandonment of physical pleasures and worldly illusions. Gorakhnath was not against women; he fought great struggles for the upliftment of women. In his literature, he presented the ideal form of women.

Abstract in Hindi Language:  गोरखनाथ भारतीय धर्म साधना एवं साहित्य-जगत के अप्रतिम एवं अनूठे व्यक्तित्व हैं।  उनका युग संघर्षों-अपकर्षों एवं त्रासदी से भरा था। योनि-पूजा और योनि-भोग चरम पर था। गोरख ने यह योनि-साधना के विरुद्ध लोहा लिया। उन्होंने घृणित यौन-साधना को चकनाचूर किया और एक नए प्रकार के धर्म को जन्म दिया। गोरख ने संत-परंपरा को जन्म दिया, इन पर पूरा भवन खड़ा है, संत साहित्य का इनमें जीवन के रूपान्तरण की सारी कुंजियाँ है। गोरखनाथ ने अपने सिद्धांतों में नारी के प्रति कठोर दृष्टिकोण अपनाया है। नारी के योनि रूप का विरोध किया है, साधना के मार्ग में स्त्री बाधक है। स्त्री के मायावी रूप का विरोध किया है। गोरखनाथ ने मायावी नारी में माता का रूप देखा है। वयस्क स्त्रियों के प्रति उसे अटूट श्रद्धा है, वह माता के समान आदर करते हैं। नारी को पतिव्रता होना चाहिए, भ्रष्ट नारियों पर तीखा प्रहार किया है। स्त्रियों, गृहिणियों को भोगवृति के कर्म नहीं करने का उपदेश दिया है। गोरखनाथ का मुख्य उद्देश्य योग और वैराग्य पर था, जिसमें शारीरिक सुखों और माया को त्यागना आवश्यक है। गोरखनाथ नारी के विरुद्ध नहीं थे। महिला उद्धार के लिए गोरखनाथ ने बड़े से बड़ा संघर्ष किया हैं। गोरखनाथ ने अपने साहित्य में महिला के आदर्श रूप को प्रस्तुत किया है।
