Abstract

Marriage is considered most important in our society, but here also where does the girl appear in the decision of her marriage. Whether he wants to marry or not, if he wants to marry whom? What is his own wish? She is completely silent in the biggest decision to be taken about life, how to get married, where to get married or any other decision, even today girls are not able to take it even after thinking about it. This is also the result of illiteracy. Be it a village girl who takes care of farm work outside the house, a lower class or middle-class girl puts her education at stake to teach her unqualified and careless brother. Due to the need to feed the brother more, it becomes a victim of malnutrition. After making all the sacrifices to the men of the family, almost snatching her right to education, one day she is married and sent to another house. She is not even physically and mentally mature to handle the responsibilities of another family. The result of this immature girl is the beginning of a generation where her daughter will again be ready to silently postpone for her son. An uneducated or less educated mother will still not be able to understand her daughter's education, her food and drink needs.

हमारे समाज में विवाह सबसे महत्वपूर्ण माना गया है मगर यहाँ भी लडकी अपने विवाह के निर्णय में कहाँ नजर आती है। उसे शादी करनी है या नहीं, करनी है तो किससे? उसकी अपनी इच्छा क्या है? वह जिन्दगी के बारे में किये जाने वाले सबसे बडे निर्णय में एकदम चुप होती है शादी कैसे होनी है कहाँ से होनी है या और कोई भी फैसला आज भी लडकियाँ सोच कर भी नहीं ले पाती हैं। यह भी अशिक्षा का परिणाम है। घर के बाहर खेत तक का कामकाज संभालने वाली देहात की लडकी हो, निम्न वर्ग या मध्यम वर्ग की लडकी अपने अयोग्य और लापरवाह भाई को पढाने के लिये अपनी शिक्षा दांव पर लगाती है। भाई को ज्यादा खिलाने की जरूरत के कारण यह कुपोषण का शिकार बन जाती है। परिवार के पुरुषों को तमाम त्याग करा कर शिक्षा उसके अधिकार को लगभग छीनते हुए एक दिन उसका विवाह कर दूसरे घर की तरफ रवाना कर दिया जाता है। दूसरे परिवार की जिम्मेदारियां संभालने के लिये वह शारीरिक व मानसिक रूप से परिपक्व भी नहीं होती। इस अपरिपक्व युवती का परिणाम होता है ऐसी ही एक पीढी की शुरूआत जहाँ उसकी बेटी फिर उसके बेटे के लिये खामोशी से स्थाग करने के लिये तैयार हो जायेगी। अशिक्षित या कम शिक्षित माँ अपनी बेटी की शिक्षा, उसके खाने पीने की जरूरतों को फिर भी नहीं समझ पायेगी।
