Abstract

This research paper focuses on the significant role of women in the holistic development of society and the nation. From historical times to the modern era, women have contributed importantly to family, society, economy, education, politics, and cultural domains. Women have emerged not only as caretakers and nurturers but also as agents of change, leaders, and decision-makers. The expansion of education has enhanced women’s empowerment, positively impacting health, social justice, economic development, and strengthening democracy. However, challenges such as gender inequality, barriers in education and employment, and social conventions still persist. This paper analyzes strategies for women’s empowerment, policy initiatives, and the importance of social awareness, highlighting that active participation of women in nation-building is indispensable for sustainable development. Finally, it concludes that a strong society and prosperous nation can be achieved only on the basis of gender equality and equal opportunities.

Abstract in Gujarati Language: આ સંશોધન પેપર સમાજ તથા રાષ્ટ્રના સર્વાંગી વિકાસમાં નારીની મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા પર કેન્દ્રિત છે. ઇતિહાસથી લઈને આધુનિક યુગ સુધી નારીએ કુટુંબ, સમાજ, અર્થતંત્ર, શિક્ષણ, રાજકારણ અને સાંસ્કૃતિક ક્ષેત્રોમાં મહત્વનું યોગદાન આપ્યું છે. નારી માત્ર સંભાળનાર કે પોષક તરીકે નહીં પરંતુ પરિવર્તનની પ્રવર્તક, નેતૃત્વશીલ અને નિર્ણયક્ષમ શક્તિ તરીકે ઉભરી આવી છે. શિક્ષણના વિસ્તરણથી નારી સશક્તિકરણમાં વધારો થયો છે, જેનાથી આરોગ્ય, સામાજિક ન્યાય, આર્થિક વિકાસ અને લોકશાહી મજબૂતીમાં સકારાત્મક અસર જોવા મળે છે. તેમ છતાં લિંગ અસમાનતા, શિક્ષણ અને રોજગારમાં અવરોધો, તેમજ સામાજિક રૂઢિઓ જેવી પડકારો હજુ પણ અસ્તિત્વમાં છે. આ પેપર નારી સશક્તિકરણના ઉપાયો, નીતિગત પહેલો અને સામાજિક જાગૃતિના મહત્વને વિશ્લેષિત કરે છે તથા રાષ્ટ્ર ઘડતરમાં નારીની સક્રિય ભાગીદારીને ટકાઉ વિકાસ માટે અનિવાર્ય ગણાવે છે. અંતે, નારી-પુરુષ સમાનતા અને અવસર સમાનતાના આધારે જ મજબૂત સમાજ અને સમૃદ્ધ રાષ્ટ્રનું નિર્માણ શક્ય હોવાનું નિષ્કર્ષ રજૂ કરે છે.
