Abstract

This research paper presents a psychological analysis of select novels by Yashpal, one of the most prominent revolutionary writers of Hindi literature—Jhootha Sach, Divya, and Meri Teri Uski Baat. The focus of this study is to explore how Yashpal portrayed the psychology of his characters through their social, political, and moral conflicts. Drawing upon the psychological theories of Freud, Jung, Erich Fromm, and Viktor Frankl, this research examines in depth the mental structures, inner conflicts, desires, and psychological disorders of his characters. The analysis reveals how Yashpal used the psychological dimension not merely as a narrative tool, but as a means to expose the deeper layers of human consciousness shaped by historical and ideological pressures. In conclusion, the study establishes that Yashpal was not only a storyteller but also a keen observer of the human mind, who depicted collective trauma, crises of personal identity, and moral dilemmas with remarkable psychological realism.

Abstract in Hindi Language: यह शोध पत्र हिंदी साहित्य के प्रमुख क्रांतिकारी रचनाकार यशपाल के चुनिंदा उपन्यासों – 'झूठा-सच', 'दिव्या' और 'मेरी तेरी उसकी बात' – का एक मनोवैज्ञानिक विश्लेषण प्रस्तुत करता है। अध्ययन का केंद्रबिंदु यह तलाशना है कि किस प्रकार यशपाल ने अपने पात्रों के मनोविज्ञान को उनके सामाजिक, राजनीतिक और नैतिक संघर्षों के माध्यम से उकेरा है। फ्रॉयड, युंग, एरिक फ्रॉम और विक्टर फ्रेंकल जैसे मनोवैज्ञानिक सिद्धांतों के आलोक में इस शोध में उन पात्रों की मानसिक बनावट, अंतर्द्वंद्व, कामना और मनोविकारों का गहन विश्लेषण किया गया है। निष्कर्षतः, यह शोध यह स्थापित करता है कि यशपाल केवल एक कथाकार ही नहीं, बल्कि मानव मन के एक गहन अवलोककर्ता थे, जिन्होंने सामूहिक ट्रॉमा, व्यक्तिगत पहचान के संकट और नैतिक द्वंद्व को अपनी रचनाओं में अभूतपूर्व यथार्थवादिता के साथ चित्रित किया।
